First Blog Post and Pre Celebrity Apex Cruise! -

Blog post 1, a brief update on what I have planned these next few days not to mention a little more about me.

Ok so its Sunday 15.9.2024 and I have just finished my sourdough, avocado and egg on toast with a nice black coffee with 1 sugar. Over the last 6-8months I have lost 4 stone in weight and this is the first holiday we have been on this year due to work commitments.

At the point of writing this I am a freelance contracts manager and business consultant - I specialise in the construction sector (mainly Mechanical, Ventilation and Plumbing) and assist companies with procedures and protecting themselves to help them be more efficient and safer in their practices and approaches to contracting or sub-contracting. I also assist domestic homeowners when they are having works done across the UK to make sure they get what they are paying for but also are not paying to much on stage payments that if the builder went bust would be exposed to losses at all.

I also own a software business that provides a form creation, ticketing and reporting solution which is great for project tracking, applying for extras, quality assurances and certification.

Ok so now you know all about the boring stuff!! - My real passion (other than time with my family) sounds a bit cliché, I have developed a keen interest in photography, travel and sharing these experiences. I hope intime to be able to do video blogs and may even attempt this while away on the cruise ship Celebrity APEX.

WHATS HAPPENING TODAY?

My day today will consist of going back to the shop that I bought some new clothes at yesterday cause in my head I think I lost more weight than I actually have so need a slightly bigger shirt from Crew clothing. After that we have some running around to do and no doubt a trip to Starbucks will be in order - the only decision there is Hot or Iced - what would you choose, let me know in the comment section?

I then need to get back home, send some invoices, have some dinner and watch some Travel Blog Jamie & Cruise with Ben and David.

Tomorrow marks an exceptionally early start for me, as I must leave my house by 5 AM to ensure I arrive at one of my ongoing projects by 8 AM. After that, I will need to quickly navigate across London to visit two more projects, before making my way to Kent to pick up an analyser crucial for the work scheduled for Tuesday in Feltham. This will surely require another early morning wake-up. In the afternoon, I plan to finalise some important pricing details, complete necessary programmes for the site teams, and handle the paperwork needed to keep some landlords compliant with regulations.

Following a day filled with driving around 350 miles, I will finally head home to load the car and then embark on another 100-mile journey to Southampton!

Once we return from our shopping trip, we will set ourselves up for an exciting afternoon and evening watching the F1 race in Baku, along with the match between Tottenham and Arsenal. Although we enjoy sports, we wouldn't consider ourselves die-hard fans anymore, but we definitely appreciate the thrill of the games.

SO BACK TO THE TRIP

Wednesday 18th September we embark Celebrity APEX for a 2 week cruise around the Mediterranean stopping at Porto, Lisbon, Valencia, Barcelona, Majorca, Ibiza & Cadiz. To say we are looking forward to it is an understatement, we enjoy travelling and it doesn’t need to be flash or lavish we also enjoy motor homing, hotel hoping while driving from place to place either in our Transit crew cab or our Hyundai Tucson.

As long as we are moving and seeing new things we are happy - this is where my new love for photography has come from, I have been softly enjoying it for a few years now but with now starting this blog I want to be able to share my photographs through my website.

So for now i’m going to leave it there and will no doubt have an update in the coming days, please subscribe and follow the news letter as I have a few exciting things to introduce over the coming weeks.
